5 Star Medicare Rating & U.S. News & World Report recognized as “One of the Best Nursing Homes in the Nation” 2018-2019

Lincoln Park Manor recently completed a week long survey with the Ohio Department of Health. This may sound simple, however it’s an intense study of a nursing home’s operations to rate it on performances in several areas. We have achieved a deficiency free health survey during our two most recent inspections.  This excellent rating means your family members are receiving exemplary rehabilitative and nursing care.

Why is this important?
Nursing homes vary in the quality of care and services they provide to their residents. Reviewing health inspection results, staffing data and quality measure data are three important ways to measure nursing home quality. This information gives you a “snap shot” of the care individual nursing homes give.
The Medicare’s Nursing Home Compare website now features a quality rating system that gives each nursing home a rating of between 1 and 5 stars.  Nursing homes with 5 stars are considered to have much above average quality and nursing homes with 1 star are considered to have quality much below average.  There are 69 nursing homes in Dayton and only 12 received an overall rating of five stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

New renovations to our lobby were completed in February 2016. Sophisticated touches like the infrared fireplace, new furnishing and a coffee bar were added. Our lobby is a popular gathering spot for social time and events and used daily by our residents.

All assisted living residents enjoy gathering in the dining room for all their meals. Chef prepared delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner are served restaurant style with tablecloths and linens. Our residents rave about the delicious meals!

All residents are encouraged to invite family members to dine with them and enjoy using our private dining room.  Simply contact the Reception Desk to make arrangements and discuss the menu. Our peaceful garden features a pond and waterfall.

The gazebo offers shade in the middle of our garden area and is where many frequently gather to get some fresh air and maybe take a short nap after lunch.

Residential Care Facility Resident Satisfaction Survey

The Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) and the Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman conducts a biennial satisfaction survey of residents in long-term care facilities to measure satisfaction with their quality of care and quality of life.  The results are based on structured, face-to-face interviews with residents.
